Final Environment~
Black Hole: usage in design described below
Final Environment was based on this sketch:
My last two UT2004 files got corrupted and so this is the third last version I had saved. I had not finished adding textures and I'm not sure if the ramp was fixed in the Stephen Hawking's environment or not.
Top view of the shared area
Inside of the maze like area of Stephen Hawkings. This area reflects the complicated ideas he deals with and the cramped maze of the interior suggests the difficulties he might have with his disability.
Two views of the entire environment (above and below). Stephen Hawking's environment is a lot more complicated which reflects his ideas and works while Jane Goodall's environment is quite simple which suggests her research into primates which are meant to be the basis and "simple" version of humans.
This cone shape combines with the maze of rooms to give an overall suggestion of a well known picture of a blackhole (shown at beginning of post). The way the cone continues on through the joint area and through Jane Goodall's environment connects the two different ideas, thus reflecting my electroliquid aggregation quote.
