My Work : Opera House.
This was my first colour pencils on black paper work and having to imagine the Opera House at night was a bit hard. It's one of my favourite works from High School.
What Inspired Me: The Church of Light.
This church was designed by Tadao Ando in 1989 and although it is not the most beautiful or famous building you can find, the simplicity and the use of light really draws me to it. Although I'm not Christian i do understand that it reflects their beliefs of Jesus being their saviour and in a sense their "light" in the darkness which is represented by the light filtered through the cross. For such a simple building to hold such a strong meaning impresses me immensely and caught my interest in Architecture.
What I find beautiful: Mirrors
I took this photo today at Freedom while I was buying my new desk and its a very beautiful wall decoration. The "leaves" are made of mirrors and when a light was shone on them they glittered- cant see that in the picture. Although it might sound vain to like mirrors I think mirrors are special in the way they can make light seem brighter and glitter and also give ourselves an idea of how the world sees us.
